THE ART OF
Griselda TelloBorn in Tulancingo, Hidalgo, Mexico. Griselda began her formal training under the guidance of her mother, the late Kasandra Martell, her brother, Arturo Tello, is also a gifted artist.
Griselda's art represents over 50 years of painting and teaching experience. The moments she captures on canvas convey the magical time of day when objects are most apparent and evoke a sense of peace and being transported into a place of gentle beauty. |
My journey into doll making started as a play thing when I was very young my Nana showed me how to make my own dolls with wooden sticks and rags. I imagine she planted the seeds which later on bloomed into my Spirit Art Dolls.
When people ask me why do I make dolls, my answer is always the same, because they make me feel good as they fill my soul with gratitude and peace! These little figures are storytellers, representing the keepers of memories from many cultural traditions. I like to think each one of my little dolls finds its own way to your hands charged with good energy and inspiration, that they may serve as a focal point for meditation, a gentle reminder of intuition and creativity.
My intention is to share with others a little miracle which is still working its magic on me.

"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance" ~ Aristotle
